ZOOM Laptop Fair 2010 ends with record sales

The three-day laptop fair ended on Friday. Organizers claimed they achieved their goal of the fair of this year. 'Zoom Laptop Fair 2010' started in Dhaka on Wednesday at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre, aiming to sell around 5,000 laptops. At least 30,000 people visited this year fair as the organizers note. In the previous two Laptop fairs the sells volume was 600 and 3,000 respectively. Both the fairs held in Chittagong. The fair of this year housed 15 pavilions and 5 stalls.
Officials of the organizing firm, Maker Communications Business Development, said as many as 3,500 laptops were sold out until Friday afternoon and orders increased tremendously at the end. Organizers said the total sales of the fair crossed the target. The Netbook was the most attractive thing of the fair. Visitors were really very interested about the small trendy device. On an average 55% of the Laptops sold were Netbook. Visitors of the fair recognized the fair as a very important factor of knowing the availability of the portable device in the local market and their price range under one roof.
